The Quick Pick ticket was sold in the Spar store at Mount Oval village in Rochestown, Cork.
Owner of the store where the National Lottery ticket was bought, Shane Cantillon, said: “2020 has been a tough year for everybody but knowing that somebody in the area may be €10.7m richer today is a huge buzz for us.”
To put the bumper win into context, it’s the biggest Lotto jackpot of 2020 and throughout this year, there have been 11 separate Lotto jackpot wins, with a total of 18 new millionaires! The National Lottery announced that the lucky winner, who is from Cork, has now come forward.
