Congratulations to The Shona Project who launched the SHINE Festival #Shine4Shona for 2021.
The 3-day event kicked off on International Women’s Day with over 80 speakers including Vicky Phelan, Laura Whitmore, Holly Cairns, Evanna Lynch, and many, many more, on topics such as mental health, mindset, career, diversity, individuality, the arts, sports, social issues, and sustainability.
There was also music, poetry, pledges, and even a treasure hunt. Thanks to the SHINE Festival partners, AIB, Life Style Sports, SAP and West Pharma, SHINE was available free of charge and could be accessed anywhere at any time throughout the 3 days.
The Shona Project wants to ensure that those who would need it most can access it. We were delighted to see our 5ft high SHINE light up letters at the festival. Photo opportunities with the giant LED signs are super popular with all age groups and stand out in the largest of venues.
Attendees joined 100 schools and 20,000 female students registered to attend the SHINE Festival. Possibly the biggest gathering of inspirational Irish women ever!
